Hazel

Privacy

Hazel has no accounts, no database and no analytics. There is nowhere for it to keep anything about you.

Location. If you use the “Use my location” button, your browser gives Hazel a latitude and longitude. It is rounded to about 110 metres, put in the page URL, and sent to Google’s Pollen API to fetch a forecast. It is not written to any server owned by this project.

Saved places. Locations you save are stored in your own browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing site data removes them.

Google. Forecast requests are made to the Google Maps Platform Pollen API, so Google receives the coordinates being looked up. See the Google Privacy Policy.
